Today a couple dozen like minded cyclists and I did a North Georgia mixed surface ride.

Mud pits, fresh one inch aggregate on 15% grades, concrete barriers, stream crossings, abandoned forest service roads, a sustained mountain climb at mile 69 - 110 miles and 11,000 ft climbing total. This was the most climbing I've done in one day by a good margin.

Georgia wine country

The descent off Burnt Mountain. I hit 51+ MPH.

Didn't help at all.

One of the more bucolic moments...

Stretching the legs late in the ride on a relatively tame section of doubletrack on the perimeter of the Rich Mountain Wilderness.
