So I am finally done with the new cables and housing on the Habanero and plan to wrap the bars tomorrow. It’s been awhile since I wrapped bars, I like to start at the bottom and do a figure 8 at hoods. But Park Tool YouTube says don’t do that and instead change direction of wrap at hoods. Does it really matter?
I like to switch wrap direction at the hoods. The prevailing hand torque direction is usually outward on the drops and aft on the tops. If you wrap those ways your tape will tend to stay right.
Not a biggie if wrapped tightly to start with.
Probably matters more with glue-free tape.
