Decided to let my wife sleep in and went for a walk. Instead of my usual one way trip from the QT to home, I made it a round trip and added probably a 1/4 mile by cutting through a park.
I used a couple of different apps on my tablet to log the miles (another reason I went for the longer hike is to evaluate the differences and then get rid of one), and though I don't have the tablet in front of me, I do recall that I had burned 300+ calories on the outbound and 200+ on the return- most likely due to differences in elevation.
