Do you ever ride when the temps are between 45 and 55? If so, they're worth it. So much easier to deal with than full booties.
I rode the whole winter, i think the coldest was 28 degrees. But most of my rides were 32 to 40. I like the socks mentioned, so I might start with the toe warmers, and get the socks as needed. If gets to the point where I am still bothered i’ll grab a pair of booties.
