The tube (at least 16 years old) had never been previously patched and was in like new condition. . . . I expect the tube to last at least another 16 years, though the tire is due for replacement due to tread wear.
If that tube is standard issue Walmart quality, I got $10 saying it won't make it another year while riding the thing with a load on it.
If its made of some sort of better material, all bets are off.
