Aha..ok. No its not an official event. Just a bunch of us in our casual cycling group who decided to just do a 300km'er. We don't have audax events where I am anyway (im overseas) so I thought I'd make it just that bit more special.

Many countries have Audax events now.
And in answer to your question ... medals, a sense of accomplishment, knowing that I'm one step closer to qualifying for a 1200K if I wanted to do another one, and about 15 hours of sleep.
