Today, emboldened by his tiny baking, he asked to bake full-sized chocolate chip cookies with his mom. She told him that they could after little sister's nap time, etc. Well, he got impatient and took it upon himself to get out the ingredients. Then he decided to measure them out while still waiting. And then, why not mix 'em up? By the time my wife showed up, he had balls of cookie dough on the baking sheets, waiting to go in to the pre-heated oven.
And the cookies? Pretty damn good. If this continues, I may have been a little hasty in celebrating my winter austerity.
Curious what he does about the eggs.
