Thanks, that's more like what I'm looking for! Mine are the same shape but open on the long side, which works out horribly.

Not having a nearby Walmart, do I want to carry a cable lock and stop when my distance ride goes past one? Almost but I think there might be another near the destination where I'm getting met.

"portion" seems to be the key search term online, but the prices there are a bit extreme.

Maybe for the time being I should keep my first aid scissors more accessible and just cut off the end, nearing the end of the current box of wrong opening ones anyway.
