Some of these bikes remind me of a tandem we rented from the local hardware store in the small town I grew up in. We were probably about 12 at the time, so it was about 1966. The bike was so flexible that I swore I'd never ride a tandem again. It literally felt like riding a wet noodle.....LOL. While I'm sure that some were built much better than others, there's certainly nothing wrong with taking a casual ride on the flats with one of these. I might even be tempted to pick one up if the right one ever came along.
