Friday was an eventful day for the Sofa Bike. First was the company car show, where it won "most original", earning me a $20 Amazon gift-card. It was the hit of the show; I actually gave our VP a ride - literally rubbing elbows with the bug guy. "Powered by software" he said, as I'm a software guy.
Meanwhile I'd posted it in the Free section on Craigstlist. The response was overwhelming and often creative. The
#1 and
#2 people in the queue flaked out, but
#3 was a winner. Rose took the Sofa Bike home, and she's headed to Burning Man in just a couple weeks. So yes, my very own Sofa Bike will be featured on the playa, where it will almost certainly meet its end. I'm super stoked about that.
Not that's out of the way, on to the next project.
