Every year they flood the area and once they open the dam again you get the crazy ice rings on the trees. There are spots where I can stand and I would have been under water, just crazy how high it can get in area's. Now you have some spots where there is ice but nothing under it, so that can be tricky. Knowing the trails I know where most of these hazards are, but they did issue a warning for the area because someone fell into one of these false ice traps. They didn't get real hurt but they did have the fire dept. come to help treat them.
