But I doubt that I'll ever do an Eroica event. I never liked straps and clip pedals and for years now all of my bikes have had SPDs. I like them. I also like a good reuben.
HAH! I was being mildly snarky (with only fun intentions), I didn't know that there are actual organizations dedicated to enforcing vintageness! Geez, we're getting as bad as the dog show people.
