One of the Rapha group told me I should ride my old bike down to the ‘clubhouse’ and be sure to bring along my giant canvas and leather saddlebag. Also antique of course, purchased new in 1965. Because they would fill that saddlebag with free stuff. Asked him what hours he would be there. He said it wouldn’t matter, it was policy to do whatever it takes to get guys like me on the team. Thought about that one a while. Never did go. Even for free doubt they have anything I would want. And definitely do not want to be on the team for a business owned by a Walton.
