Bike shop sold me a bontrager outer shell (wearing base layer) stated it would break the wind, not even close. I am interested in recommendations for outer shell that is wind proof or close to it. not sure if I understand. you're wearing a single outer shell & a single base layer in temps & speeds as described? I don't think the issue is the outer shell, meaning I wold want something in between those 2 simple layers. something that actually insulates, like my fleece shirt, for example
