Well today I removed the stuck dust caps on the Martens built Ribble so I could make sure the play I was feeling was the BB not crank arms. Two days of soaking in PB blaster, heats, tapping with wooden dowel, etc all failed to free them. Quick work though once I drilled a hole in them then took punch and small hammer to them. Couple of taps at angle and they started turning just fine.
Play does appear to be in the BB so now to source the best option. For no good reason than other than "because" I'm trying to get this under 20lbs built up, ready to go. Right about there so I want to make sure every new part that goes on is lighter than what I took off.
