My GP4000s never last that long for the wear indicators to disappear. They start getting flats before that or something else happens and I toss them. It just isn't worth the aggravation when they get worn. I tossed one last week and replaced it with a GP5000 in 700x25, when I always used 700x23. It is much more comfortable.
