We've reached rock bottom. For the 3rd time SCNCA cancelled the Elite and Masters Road Race Championships. Hopefully something gets picked up and they run it, or at least give it to the racers with the best results SCNCA road races.
We're down to less than a handful of road races this year, but we're not short on crits. Like most problems, I don't think its one thing causing it. The promoters need too many cyclists to turn a profit, NIMBY's killed Everest Challenge and other races, 70% of our land is unraceable during what our association insists as race season, and local government raising prices and requirements based on running races that have 10x to the revenue.
