Would you say there's a distinction to be made between this and the others? To me it seems like while Hoy was responding to a move by his opponent, shutting the door on him so to speak, Keiser and Cavendish dropped on their opponents unprovoked.
I would say that they are the same, with the magnitude of the moves being different (Hoy's being most dramatic and Kaiser's least).
Kaiser, knowing that his opponent isn't allowed to pass on the inside, purposely leaves the inside lane open. This is a legit strategy. It makes your opponent commit to the inside by burning a match...hit the brakes...then has to double-accelerate to come around the outside. That's hard af.
How many times have we seen light in the sprinter's lane in front of us and been lured by it...only to have it shut? That's what happened in the Hoy and Kaiser videos.
