I guess there's something to be said for structured days and PARA. I never would have thought I would like it, after working commission for so many years. What I lost in money, I gained in time. The pendulum came by at the right time, and I jumped on.
It makes sense. How long have you worked for the state? I used to. I'd have a boatload of PERA if I stayed and before they run out of money.
The judge stuff doesn't appeal to me. I would never put myself in a position where I was sending people to prison or listening to divorces. Add a rigid schedule and docket and a ton of hours, especially in this county, and the job sucks. I couldn't do many of the things my family likes to do and I'm not wired to go home and feel good about standing in judgment.
