So... I'm building my old trek 760 back into a roadie from an ssfg. It's going to get the 5800 stuff that's currently on my other bike.

I was debating between R7000 and R8000 to put on the current roadie but it honestly looks like the ultegra is just 200 or so dollars more for a 200g weight saving and a shiny finish. Honestly don't think it's worth it.

Is there any advantage of getting a mid compact over a compact? I was thinking of going 50/34 and 11-32... But I'm sure in a couple of months I'd be strong enough for the 52/36. I guess it's smarter to just get a smaller cassette then right?

The wider stuff isn't as big of an issue with 11 speed though which is nice.

I already ordered a set of wheels from psimet. I've wanted a set since he started building them!

Heh.
I may or may not be quietly making darth Vader breathing noises when we're sitting around on rounds.
