One of my kids didn't rinse out gatorade from one of my favorite bottle (32 oz, wide mouth, clear) and it grew mold. To get rid of the mold, I soaked it overnight with a strong bleach solution, rinsed, re-soaked with hot soapy water, rinsed and air dried. My kids now use their own bottles.
