I could help the guy a lot, and guys like him, with regards to headlights. How do deal with them, how to use them. But that's not going to happen unless he specifically asks me, and because one of the most annoying common foibles is unwanted instruction. Particularly from the inexperienced sorts. They will either learn eventually or give up, generally the latter.

One thing that isn't happening is my turning off my lights for folks to head at me in the dark, just because they don't know to look away.
