They don’t do OEM for the mass bike brands. Like Shimano. The average person just doesn’t search out other brands. When they walk in a bike shop and all the bike have Shimano gear on them. Bike shops just want to sell bikes. They don’t want to go thru the whole why this and that talk. As they can lose a sale that way.
