Almost brought the Vitus 979 (socketed, bonded aluminium frame) for $275, till I noticed it did not have the original quill seat post. I have 2 Kabiki Submariner stainless steel bikes with quill seat posts; after leaving I was wondering if they would fit the Vitus.
That was a pretty bike and a good deal. I saw you headed out the door with it! The front hub should be an easy fix.
