While I agree that the cable for the front brake is too short, the position of the front brake lever is correct. The rear brake lever is too flat. The rear brake lever requires the rider to bend the wrist at an upward angle. You should be able to rest your fingers on the lever and have a straight line from the elbow through the wrist all the way to the finger tips.
