Cycling in the Tampa/St Petersburg area is growing quite rapidly. Unfortunately, Florida leads the country in cyclist fatalities and the Bay Area leads in the state. Cities and the state are now realizing something must be done and are working on putting more bike lanes on existing roads and changing the cycling/pedestrian infrastructure. I can’t wait for them to finish connecting existing trails so one can ride from St. Petersburg to Daytona Beach without leaving a paved bike path.
