Sunbeams on Sunbeam

Pre-dawn shake down ride for my 1948 Sunbeam. This bike was an oddity. The rims and hubs were pre war and barely used. Normally the wheels are younger than the frame.

Tires were pumped up hard but after ten miles all that 1 3/8 inches of rubber was starting to give me arse ache.
