I think the commute helps me both mentally and physically. The ride in is just enough exercise to wake my body and mind up. Without that I feel groggy the first few hours at work. The ride back helps me unwind.

My job requires me to be physically present. Personally, I'm happy with that. Trying to work from home would probably drive me crazy. At least at first it would.
