Seeing the thread title, I came in thinking, "skinwall always looks better". Then I saw the OP's first picture and realized there are rare exceptions.
How a tire rides is my
#1 criteria, and good tanwall (if not skinwall), tires seem to have ride characteristics that don't disappoint.
