How did you get the chain tension right? Did you find a "magic ratio" or do you have an eccentric BB or hub?
I wanted to go with the original cantis this bike came with but they were in a pretty horrible condition, and these Avid SD 5 V-brakes are just nuts, they are so good. It has a sliding rear dropout actually, so tensioning wasn't a problem. The current issue is that the chain is a tad too short like this, and the axle sits in a rather dodgy position atm. Need to find a bigger rear cog and add another chain link.
