A short time ago I picked up a Gitane Grand Tourisme from CL. (See the link to the post here

Well, I stayed in touch with the seller of this frame and fork. We got together to shoot the breeze about bikes and discuss wheel building today. To my surprise the fella had a gift for me: the fenders from the Gitane.
I don't know if they are original but there they are
super nice. I am ecstatic I can re-unite the fenders with the frame. Man....the vintage bike community has allowed me to meet a lot of interesting, cool and generous people both here in this forum and in person.
