Sure would hate to park the road bike for 2 weeks, though.
First, ignore the people telling you to “just ride it”. The wheel won’t collapse (probably) but it can’t stay true. The rim is needed to keep the tension on that spoke and with a broken rim, it will can’t keep that tension. It will just wobble back and forth.

On the other hand, if you have a hybrid it has the same sized wheels as the road bike so just swap wheels? You might have to swap cassettes and tires but doing that is mostly trivial.
