Yesterday. 68 miles, with my friend. Two road bikes 23mm tires. Just as it always has gone for decades, my being prepared and having tubes and tools saves the other rider. He had two flats within a couple of miles in the dark, in 22 F temps. No problems, I carry tools, two tubes, a patch kit, a really good pump, 3 co2 cartridges and hand cleaner pads etc.
Then after we rode a little, his rear derailleur stopped working correctly. But it was so nice out that we had a pretty good ride anyway.
