1. The SHD has rack mounts front and rear, and is rated to carry 30 lbs rear and 20 lbs front. It also has fender mounts, which are great for touring.

2. Dunno, but another poster says "no." You can always ask All City right on the SHD page Q&A section, and they will probably respond.
