It gets even hotter in Needles. I used to flight instruct out of Bull head, Needles and then North Las Vegas. In needles it would get so hot, I could smell my gasoline evaporating out of my car. I would recharge my AC and it would only last 24 hours. It was a lot of fun.
I worked on Lake Mead for 10 years. Walking through the marina, you could smell the gasoline evaporating during the hottest part of the day.
