HEY! I am alive because 2 people (my parents) meet while sewing little alligators on sport shirts back in Hong Kong. And NO, there weren't any air conditioning, but they made a living and had money to go on dates. When I came along, mom stayed home and dad was able to feed us and take us out to the movies and dinners at a regular basis. Sure the pay was low, but so was the cost of living.
American business people are the ones creating the demand that fuels any exploitational behavior. When will we fix the way we teach our MBA's and how we reward them at the corporate level?
