My SIL performed on at least one bill with Stan Rogers. I won't repeat her comments. No matter what he was like in person, many of his songs are very powerful, meaningful, and entertaining. I can see how you think very highly of his work and of him. I pretty much don't listen to music because my hearing is bad and my hearing aid distort music ... but I might put some records on my turntable....
I think we tend to cling to life no matter what (up to a point). Riding is just one of the reasons.
