In 1984, I rode from Flagstaff to Grand Canyon in one day and returned to Flagstaff in one day. But I was younger then. In 2015, I rode from Grand Canyon to Flagstaff in two days. About 30 miles to Valle and 55 miles to Flagstaff. In Valle there's a "Flintsone" campgound. There's National Forest land where you could camp. Road from Grand Canyon to Valle has shoulder. From Valle to Flagstaff most of road goes not have shoulder but there is low traffic volume. There is elevation changes between Valle and Flagstaff, across the San Francisco Peaks.
