Did a 48-miler up to Lake Forest. Didn't think I'd get a ride in given last week's snow and rain/snow predicted for today. Fortunately, they pushed the precipitation off to late afternoon. Temps in the upper 30s.

Still a lot of snow on the ground, but the roads were mostly clear. Quite a few other riders were out. Very gray and you can feel the wx rolling in.



Bike in the Glencoe train station. Stopped in after discovering the Highland Park station was locked. Tapped a kidney and refilled the water.

This was the only other photo I took. The cold killed the phone. I was able to bring it back to life by heating it under the hand dryer in the station, but it wouldn't work outside.

As a bonus, the rear tire started to go down in the last 5 miles, but I was able to "sponge" my way home.
