Now if you want to talk turbochargers, I got sick of changing them on the Chevy Cruz. We had a lot of trouble with them, some of it due to lack of oil change. We put so many of them on that GM made a policy that we had to prove they weren't providing enough boost by taking data snapshots at wide open throttle during the 1-2 shift. If they didn't change their oil the little impeller would just fall off or start screaming but the more common failure was a check engine light with an underboost code. This condition is usually intermittent, good luck proving it with a data screen grab.

I actually had 2 cars with underboost codes due to intake air restriction. One of those was a big rat stuck in the intake duct. That car stunk like you would expect and the customer had to pay for me to clean it out. The other had a piece of plastic way down in there which had apparently fallen in there at the factory.
