My first post.

Had to come out of lurking for this thread. My dad bought me this Mongoose Switchback from a bike store before I could drive. I can remember how the bike shop smelled. Even then, in the early-to-mid 90s, it was rare to find a "mom and pop" bike shop. I rode it all over creation until I turned 16. He patiently stored it inside all these many years until this past year, when he brought it up here as a kind of housewarming present. Apparently the Mongoose Switchback makes a very excellent trail-a-bike tractor. Or at least jmilleronaire and I think so:



Picked up some Kenda Commuter slick tires this weekend. Hoping to get a Nashbar trekking handlebar (or some other affordable butterfly bar), some fenders, and a rack. Or as my wife says, "basically, a new bike."
