And since I have a couple of extra wheels, it was easy to set it up without the need for the freewheeling chainwheel. I was lucky and the motor fit in the frame easily. It's worked out quite well, just need to remember to gear down before approaching a stop.

or maybe you could get a nuvinci hub and you won't have to gear down before you stop.
cool machine , does the pvc flex much?
