That's a little odd to me; a spacer is a quick visual check, IMO there is no need for all two piece cranks to turn their bikes in. To further confuse matters, their picture shows no spacer. Maybe some bikes need spacers and others don't, which is a different can of worms. Anyways, this sounds like a nightmare for all involved; I hope everyone gets satisfaction once the dust settles.
