I have two Brooks Pro saddles, both copper rivet, one from 1979 and one from 1980. The 79 is still in use, the 80 is out of use, but still usable, although the leather is cracking at the front rivets. It seems the leather is good enough to last many 10s of thousands of miles and many decades of use.
