Screw science. Let me tell you from personal experience having BTDT that the labor is NOT less (besides any woman with half a brain demands (and gets) an epidural anyway so guess what? No pain! Just pressure. Such a lovely drug), and that it is all about the recovery period afterwards. It is long, protracted and VERY painful. It's major surgery, and they cut deep. And the scar lasts forever and is out front and visible forever, too.
I agree. My 8 years of college I worked in surgery 3-11. I assisted on a couple of deliveries every month. Emergencies. I always thought the Pfannensteil incision would have more pain post op.
