6/4 Ti has a Brinell hardness number of ~380, so harder than 18-8 stainless (HB 200), but softer than hardened tool steel (HB 600-900). While acknowledging that there are a number of 6/4 Ti varieties out there, it’s no harder than decent steel. Ti brings light weight, corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance to the table. 6/4 Ti brings a minor increase in stiffness over other grades, but none are particularly hard-wearing compared to steel
