Some really good bikes can be had for $100! (Not new ones of course). I use the 50 bike reference to illustrate value compared to the stainless frame. I'd prefer to own and ride 3 or 5 different bikes, tops. No, I am not buying nor entertaining buying the Torelli. I posted for feedback on whether a modern frame like the stainless is worth that type of money. To very few, with money to burn, it's of no consequence. For most though probably not. For some, $4k is nothing. I don't see $4k in value there. $4k for a good used dodge ram maybe.
