SRAM vs Shimano is not the question. The question is GX vs XT. The answer is 6 of one, half dozen of the other, though some will surely pipe in insisting that one is way better than the other.

I hate the GX Eagle on my bike. It's literally a POS of ****. Planning on changing it over to XT. A current thread over on MTBR confirms this from others having the same problems with the GX system.
