Consider that a 2018 Vaja with carbon fork is only 3 lbs heavier, and that's with a double up front vs the Cuthroat's single chain ring. So, an alternate plan would be to invest 4 bills in a new fork, ride a lot of hills, lose 3 lbs of fat, and take the wifey, or the GF, (or both!) on a nice vacay with the two grand you've saved!
