The only thing running did for me was prolong my freedom. I could haul ass when there were sirens in the area.
I feel blessed that I can still run after all these years engaged in all types of running activities. I mean when we were kids, way before the internet and before video games and yes, even before tv, kids played outdoors and my favorite games involved running. I don’t do any running for fitness now but I'm thrilled that I can still get around the bases pretty effectively.
